This week after watching the Ford documentary on i-player I finally got round to watching the movie ‘Made in Dagenham’ based on the 1968 Ford sewing machinists strike. 5 stars. I thought it was a great film.
It absolutely baffles me that only 40 years ago women were treated this way.
I’ve also been obsessing over woman developers this week. I really want to know why there are so little of us out there.
One article said it started when we were young. Girls were given Barbie and Ken to play with. We learned how to socialise, date boys and go out shopping with friends at the age of 4. Boys on the other hand were given remote control cars and techy toys which lead to them taking an early interest in technology. This makes a lot of sense.
But me? I have to admit I always wanted the remote control cars and aeroplanes for Christmas but my Barbie was never short on dates with Ken…
